雨がしとしと。一段と寒く感じる土曜日にマーケットへ行ってこのスイスチャードを買った。
この茎の色の美しさがどんよりとしたグレーの空気に一段と映えていた。
この茎の美しさを生かすことを考えていけばなをした。
さて今日はどう食べようか？
私の好きなシェフの1人がご馳走してくれた家庭料理を思い出していた。それはスイスチャードの茎のフリッター。
熱々をマスタードと一緒にサーブする。「お母さんがいっぱい作った熱々を食べる。その後ちょっと夜遊びして家に帰ってその残りをつまむっていうのもいいんだよね。」なんとも美味しそう。
そんなことを思い出したら茎は天ぷらにしようと思った。葉っぱは簡単に胡麻和えに。
今度はフリッターに挑戦しよう。
